Radio Skid Row
Radio Skid Row- Marrickville, NSW
- 88.9 FM
Radio Skid Row has been broadcasting for 25 years to Sydney's inner west. The station has an international reputation for its development and training projects with minority communities both in Australia and overseas. The station has always been the gateway for smaller, more disadvantaged communities to participate in community broadcasting. It was home to the original Radio Redfern and later Koori Radio which now has its own citywide licence. It was also the place where Muslim radio started in Sydney. The station plays a mix of black music which includes reggae, African, indigenous, hip hop, rnb, Pacific Island sounds and music from all around the world. It also features hard hitting talk with a radical edge.
